ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A Des Plaines man is accused of attacking employees at an Arlington Heights restaurant so he could go into the kitchen to cook his own food, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Vlad Volin, 47, of the 1100 block of Holiday Lane, Des Plaines, faces battery, assault and criminal trespass charges stemming from the Nov. 23 incident, the report stated. He's currently being held without bail.
According to Arlington Heights police, Volin is accused of trying to force his way into the kitchen of a restaurant in the 800 block of West Rand Road so he could fix himself a meal, the Tribune reports. When employees told Volin he couldn't do that, he allegedly attacked them, the report added.
Police told the Tribune that Volin shoved a female employee out of the way to get the kitchen. When another worker ordered him to leave, Volin allegedly put his watch around his knuckles and threw a punch at the employee, missing him, the report added.
