The
United States chain of command starts with the President of the United
States, through the Secretary of Defense, to the commanders who command
all of the military forces. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
and the Chiefs of Staff are responsible of readiness of the U.S military
and serve as the President's military advisors, but are not in the
chain of command. Each service is
responsible for organizing military units for the commanders of the
various commands. This information can be accessed at website: en.wikipedia.org
