Police: Ana Popovic, a 39-year-old Memphis, Tenn.-based blues musician stolen touring van may have connection to Tinley smash-and-grab at Best Buy by a team of roving black thieves

Oak Forest police say someone stole a van loaded with thousands of dollars of equipment belonging to a touring blues musician in the early hours of Saturday morning, and the theft may be related to a smash and grab at a Tinley Park Best Buy.

Ana Popovic, a 39-year-old Memphis, Tenn.-based blues musician, told police in Oak Forest that someone stole her van when it was parked outside the Best Western at 4375 Frontage Road. The van is a white 2009 Ford Econoline with a Pennsylvania license plate. While investigating the incident, police discovered a 2013 white Ford Econoline van with a shattered windshield parked only spaces from where Popovic's van was stolen.
