Tallahassee Police arrested one of their own Friday. This all stems from an incident on March 27, 2015.
An anonymous tip said the drug 'Molly' was being used and sold in a room at the Days Inn on Apalachee Parkway.
"Our patrol officers arrived on scene after speaking with a hotel representative, knocked on the door of the identified room," said TPD Deputy Chief Darrell Furuseth. "Officers made contact with a female and an off-duty TPD sergeant Brian Davis."
According to a police affidavit, Davis and Afton Chewning were inside the room appearing sweaty and in disarray.
Investigators say Davis responded to an online ad set up by Chewning who's known to use motel rooms for prostitution in the area. The ad was titled 'Monday Madness With Molly'.
"After a thorough review of all evidence and interviewing witnesses the investigation resulted in probable cause being developed to charge Mr. Davis with solicitation of a prostitute."
An arrest warrant for prostitution has been issued for Chewning from that night as well.
Davis has been released from jail and will be arraigned Tuesday June 23, at 8:30 A.M.
He remains on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A Tallahassee Police Sergeant was arrested Friday and charged with Solicitation of a Prostitute.
TPD says officers responded to a 911 call at the Days Inn on Apalachee Parkway in March in reference to the drug "Molly" being sold at the location.
When officers responded to a room at the hotel, they found Sergeant Brian Davis with Afton Chewning, a known prostitute.
When asked if he used Back Page, a website well-known by law enforcement as a prostitution site, Davis told officers that he was friends with Chewning and their relationship was sexual, but said he did not know that she was a prostitute.
Chewning later told police in an interview that Davis entered the hotel room she was in and placed $100 on a bed. She also identified him by his truck and a reference to his phone number.
Also using information consistent with phone records and the "On Star" records of his 2013 Chevrolet truck, a TPD arrest report states that based on the circumstances "it is more likely than not that Sgt. David engaged in prostitution."
Chewning told police that she was completely nude and he was in his underwear when police came to the room, but they did not engage in sexual activity at that time.
Police also discovered a Back Page ad featuring Chewning for the purpose of soliciting prostitution with suggestive captions.
Sergeant Davis had previously been placed on administrative leave in March in connection with an internal affairs investigation.
Davis had also been cleared by a grand jury after firing his weapon at a car in January that contained a suspect wanted in connection with a murder.
