Paralyzed in the line of duty Chicago police officer Densey Cole II says he's being evicted because city failed to pay bills

Densey Cole II was driving his police SUV to a burglary call on the South Side in 2009 when he got into an accident that left him a quadriplegic. As he lay pinned in the wreckage, a man walked up and stole his gun and wallet and threatened to kill him.

Now Cole says he feels victimized again. He said he received an eviction notice last month demanding he leave his handicapped-accessible apartment after the city of Chicago, which holds the lease, failed to pay nearly $20,000 in utility bills.

"It was like the bottom fell out," said Cole, 44. "I don't have the resources or the friends that help me move in a flash. I have so much hospital equipment, where would I put it? Where am I going to go?
