Courtesy of Mediaite:
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz‘s campaign posted hours of raw, unedited and highly awkward footage onto its YouTube page this summer. Why? Because it’s the only legal way the campaign could make the footage available to any Super PACs that might want to use it for their pro-Cruz ads.
BuzzFeed initially reported on the YouTube videos in July, but couldn’t determine why the Cruz campaign had posted them online.
According to CNN‘s Chris Moody, however, “campaigns often post videos like these as a way to navigate around campaign finance laws that restrict collusion between campaigns and outside groups because they are available in a public place.”
“But while other campaigns have posted highly-produced clips of B-Roll,” notes Moody, “Cruz’s version is raw and largely uncut.”
You know I used to wonder how Cruz found anybody to marry his sleazy ass, but after seeing that vacuous look in his wife's eyes I think I get it now.
Seeing this kind of makes you wonder if somebody in the Cruz campaign is attempting to sabotage it.
That would not be as far fetched as you might imagine since it appears that literally NOBODY likes Ted Cruz.
His own college roommate had this to say:
“I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States. Anyone,” Mazin said. “I would rather pick somebody from the phone book."
See folks? It's not just us.
By the way the Daily Show did a really funny bit on this footage last night.
The raw footage posted on the internet by the Ted Cruz campaign is comedy gold.
