Negro Couple sought in armed robbery at Naperville store, police say

Naperville police are searching for a black man and a black woman who stole cellphones and other personal items from people during an armed robbery in a store Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

According to a news release from the Naperville Police Department, the incident was reported just after 2 p.m. Victims told police that two people entered a store in the 2800 block of Illinois Highway 59, displayed a weapon and took phones and other personal items from people in the store, police said.

The two fled the store before police arrived. No one was injured, police said.

Police said the man was described as about 5-foot-5 and 130 pounds, and he was wearing a mask. The woman was described as about 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds.
