The golf cart was parked among dozens of people — co-workers, family, friends — gathered Tuesday evening along Lake George Lakefront Park in Hobart to commemorate the life of Aimee Giro.
"It's just so beautiful seeing so many people here," said Michelle Batista, Giro's cousin.
Lake Station Police are investigating Giro's death as a homicide after officers found Giro dead in a Lake Station home Oct. 5 when responding to a welfare check. Police had a person of interest in custody for questioning last week, but that person has since been released and no one else is in custody in the case, said Capt. Brian Williams.
