Attention City of Chicago Retirees... From a fellow retiree....

Dear TNUSA, I'm a CPD retiree on Medicare. I along with others was very upset that we were losing our health care. I just signed up for a Medicare supplement plan, if anybody is interested Aetna for health and Humana for part D prescription plan, and I'm saving $4000.00 vs the FOP plan and $ 4500.00 vs the BCBS plan the city offered us. 

The city has been screwing us with prices for years and again with the new plan. Again, I'm Medicare eligible, so the under 65 crowd is unable to access these plans. No deductible on health, no deductible on tier 1 and 2 prescriptions. 

My wife, age 68 is going to pay $99 a month for health and $17 a month for prescriptions. I'm 69 and I'm going to pay $116 a month for health and $17 a month for prescriptions. I'm not an agent or rep of either company but did a lot of research and asked questions and spent time on the Internet.  

If anybody checks out the Aetna plan they have to ask for the Aetna Health and Life Insurance plan which is a branch of Aetna Insurance. It has different rates than Aetna Insurance. Humana has a WalMart RX plan that is $17 a month with $1 or $3 co-pays on Tier 1 and 2 drugs. TNUSA is read by a lots of retirees and your site is a good place to get the info out.
