A 37-year-old woman was walking through a parking garage in the 8400 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue on her way to a CTA Blue Line station about 4 a.m. when a man approached her from behind and knocked her to the ground, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.
The attacker demanded that she remove her clothing, but she struggled and was able to flee and get to a safe area, the alert said.
The attacker, who fled south from the parking lot, is described as a black man about 25 years old who is 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7, the alert said.
He weighs about 135 pounds and has brown eyes, black hair and a light complexion. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, the alert said.
