The victim, a 34-year-old undocumented Mexican Nationalist, was reported in stable condition Sunday by police. According to reports, the man was found about 11 a.m. in an apartment in the 100 block of South State Street with a gunshot wound.
It is believed the man knew the illegal beaner shooter, according to a news release from the Elgin Police Department. No other information was released by police.
