The troubled colored boy said he brought the gun to school for SHOW & TELL... He was going to show it then tell people it's a HOLD UP! 

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — Charges are expected Wednesday against a student who brought a gun with him to Bremen High School.

The handgun was found in a book bag left in the back of a classroom at the school. A teacher found it while searching the bag to identify its owner, Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Administrators found the owner, a student who then admitted to having the gun, police told the Sun-Times.

Charges are pending. It's unclear why the student brought the gun to school.
