A Brooklyn man who admitted to the rape of a 13-year-old girl and her friend apologized Wednesday to the victims before he was sentenced to four “generous” years in prison.
Marcus Sumpter was slated to go to trial last month for kidnapping the teens and talking them into prostitution before pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree rape.
The teens met Sumpter at a party in August 2014 and went back to his Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment to have sex, prosecutors said.
Sumpter, 26, persuaded the girls to work as hookers and post sexually suggestive photos of themselves on Craigslist.com.
