DOJ: Criminal Background Checks, Citizenship Requirements Barriers To Police-Force Diversity…
How racist is it to believe that background checks are preventing minorities from getting jobs? But those that actually have background check problems or aren’t even citizens, DOJ wants them to have guns and be police…
Via CNS News:
The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released a comprehensive report Wednesday examining law enforcement hiring, recruitment, and retention policies with the aim of increasing diversity in police departments. The report–“Advancing Diversity in Law Enforcement”–highlighted barriers to diversity within police departments, such as “the use of criminal background checks” which the researchers found “is likely to disproportionately impact racial minority applicants.”The report also found that U.S. citizenship requirements “may prevent a considerable number of racial and ethnic minorities – many of whom have valuable foreign language skills – from being hired by law enforcement agencies.”The report opened with an analysis of EEOC labor force data, which “found that African-American, Latino, and Asian-American police officers were underrepresented relative to the local area population in a significant number of the departments analyzed. Using a statistical test of underrepresentation, the researchers found that within their sample, African Americans were underrepresented in 60 percent of the departments, Latinos were underrepresented in 41 percent, and Asian Americans were underrepresented in 31 percent.”The use of criminal background checks, the report noted,“Researchers and practitioners,” the report said, “have also highlighted that the use of criminal background checks, which are a regular part of the screening process for many agencies, is likely to disproportionately impact racial minority applicants since, for a variety of reasons, individuals from those communities are more likely to have contact with the criminal justice system.“While law enforcement agencies are undeniably justified in carefully vetting and investigating potential hires,” the report said, “excluding applicants regardless of the nature of the underlying offense, or how much time has passed since an offense occurred, or without any consideration of whether the candidate has changed in the intervening period, can be a significant – and unwarranted – barrier.”The report also argued that residency and citizenship requirements can limit underrepresented communities’ presence in law enforcement.Indiana Voter Registration Fraud Investigation Expands To 57 Counties…

New Book Details Jimmy Stewart’s Anguish Over Losing 130 Men in One Bombing Mission Over Germany
Once upon a time in America, men were men and Hollywood actors and actresses were true patriots.
Jimmy Stewart suffered such extreme PTSD after being a fighter pilot (the author of the article got this wrong. Stewart was a bomber pilot) in World War II that he acted out his mental distress during ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.Stewart played George Bailey in the classic movie and channeled his anger and guilt into the scenes where he rages at his family.Stewart was haunted by ‘a thousand black memories’ from his time as an Air Force commanding officer that he took with him back to Hollywood after the war.Pilots who flew with him said that became ‘Flak Happy’ during World War II, a term to describe what is now known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD.Stewart wrestled with the guilt of killing civilians in bomb raids over France and Germany including one instance where they destroyed the wrong city by mistake.Stewart felt responsible for the death of his men and especially one bloodbath where he lost 13 planes containing 130 men who he knew well. Stewart’s anguish is laid bare for the first time in author Robert Matzen’s Mission: Jimmy Stewart and the fight for Europe, published by Paladin Communications.Stewart never spoke about it, even to other veterans, and bottled up his emotions that came out in the acting parts he chose when he returned to Hollywood. He acted it out during It’s a Wonderful Life, where character George Bailey unravels in front of his family – the emotional core of the film after a lifetime of setbacks, including being unable to go to war while his brother becomes a decorated hero.Films like Shenandoah and Winchester 73 allowed Stewart to explore his dark side which was never there before he went to war.Matzen writes that Stewart’s decision to join the military was less surprising than his decision to become an actor; his grandfather fought in the Civil War and more distant relatives fought in the Revolutionary War.The book, Mission: Jimmy Stewart and the Fight for Europe, will be released on October 24.

Via The Hill:The FBI’s notes on its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server raise questions about two “bankers boxes” of printed emails that went missing in the course of the probe, Fox News reported.Among the FBI’s lengthy report are its notes from a 2015 interview with an unnamed Office of Information Programs and Services (IPS) employee, which were heavily redacted. The notes say that IPS officials were told that there were 14 bankers boxes of emails at Clinton’s home, but when they were picked up from her lawyer’s office, there were only 12.The report also points out that emails dated from early 2009, at the start of her term, were missing. The FBI said it’s not clear if she was using another email address at that time.“Initially, IPS officials were told there were 14 bankers boxes of former secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails at Clinton’s Friendship Heights office,” the employee told the FBI.“On or about December 5, 2014, IPS personnel picked up only 12 bankers boxes of Clinton’s emails from Williams & Connolly,” they added, referring to a law firm associated with the Clintons. The witness also accused senior State Department official Patrick Kennedy of pressuring subordinates to change classified email codes in the interview transcripts.White House Defends $500 Million Yearly Public-Relations Budget Used To Spread Obama’s Message
And you thought he was just getting free media from MSM. He’s paying for it with our money too.The White House said Thursday that President Obama’s costly addition of hundreds of public relations specialists to the government payroll was necessary to tell the public about the president’s achievements.White House press secretary Josh Earnest said the administration “has made it a priority to interact with the public and interact with the press corps and to be as transparent as possible.”“That is work that requires dedicated professionals who are interested in furthering that goal and helping the American people understand exactly what the administration is doing, what we have prioritized and what our success has been in implementing the agenda laid out by President Obama,” Mr. Earnest said. The Obama White House, like other administrations, has a press operation staffed with several dozen employees, as well as press offices in each of the various cabinet agencies. The Government Accountability Office said Mr. Obama has added hundreds of PR specialists during his tenure, costing taxpayers about $500 million per year. That’s in addition to $100 million per year spent on private-sector spinmeisters and $800 million spent annually on advertising.
Bruce Springsteen: Black Lives Matter Is “Chickens Coming Home To Roost”
Wrong? If Black Lives Matter were right and were actually about justice, they wouldn’t need to spread lies about each case. They would be about ‘justice’ and not about leftist agenda.
The latest issue of Rolling Stone features a wide-ranging interview with Bruce Springsteen in which he says Black Lives Matter is America’s “chickens coming home to roost.”Rolling Stone’s Brian Hiatt recently sat down with “The Boss” to discuss the singer’s new memoir, “Born to Run,” but the two also carved out time to address Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, the NFL’s national anthem protests started by quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and Black Lives Matter.“It’s all chickens coming home to roost,” Mr. Springsteen said when asked about Black Lives Matter. “These are issues that have been ignored or hidden, and due to modern technology and the availability of cellphone cameras and constant video feed, these things are coming to the surface.
Black Lives Matter is a natural outgrowth and response to the injustices that have been occurring for a very long time in the United States.”“Why is it so hard for so many white people to grapple with? Why the backlash?” Mr. Hiatt replied.“Nobody likes being told they’re wrong,” Mr. Springsteensaid Wednesday.
