Darryl Benton-Harris, 19, who was listed as homeless, was charged with first-degree murder in a Nov. 3 shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood that left Emoni and Elijah House dead. Their 42-year-old mother and a 19-year-old family friend were seriously wounded in the shooting.
Thin and soft-spoken, Benton-Harris appeared in bond court Friday wearing a white jacket that said "M.C. Concrete" on the back.
A prosecutor tried to hold back tears while reading the facts of the case. (Really? True professional here!)
