25 year old George R. Evans drove a rental car 90-miles an hour while going through a stoplight at 87th and Lafayette and struck a woman in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood killing her. 18-year old Bria Hunter was thrown some 100 feet.
Then, Evans was caught on cellphone video standing over Hunter’s body, laughing as he talked about totaling his own car a week earlier, in another crash.
Evans pleaded guilty to one count of reckless homicide with a motor vehicle. Judge Evelyn Clay sentenced Evans to community service and 36 months of probation.
