A man was killed in the Grand Crossing neighborhood and four people were shot -- one fatally -- in an attack in Bronzeville, a block from Chicago police headquarters.
The four were shot on 35th Street, in the block east of Indiana Avenue, about 8:20 p.m.
Two people -- an 18-year-old man and a 52-year-old man -- were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious and critical conditions. A 20-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were taken to Stroger Hospital. The woman was listed in critical condition, and the man's condition had stabilized, police said.
