Three people were killed and at least 14 others wounded in shootings across Chicago on Tuesday, according to police.
The latest fatal shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. when a gunman opened fire on a group of people fighting in a Gresham neighborhood street.
A female whose age wasn’t immediately known was shot in the abdomen and taken to Stroger Hospital, where she later died, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the death.
A 22-year-old woman shot in the leg and wrist and a 25-year-old woman shot in the arm also went to Stroger. Their conditions stabilized, police said.
The shooter took off in a white SUV, police said.
About three hours earlier, a 52-year-old man died in a Bronzeville drive-by shooting that left three other people wounded, police said.
