About 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Crystal Lake officers responded to a domestic battery call at a home in the 300 block of West Terra Cotta Avenue. Officers were told a man in his late 20s had beat a family member and had threatened her with a knife, police said in a statement.
The man had fled before officers arrived. The family member, a woman, was treated on scene for facial injuries.
About 1:35 a.m. Monday, officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Boxwood Drive for a report of an unwanted person in the single-family home.
