Two men and a teenager have been arrested in connection with a murder outside a Shiloh apartment building this past weekend, the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis said.
According to Lt. James Cavins, deputy commander for the Major Case Squad, the shooting took place Saturday, June 27 on Yorkshire Lane. Shiloh police responded to calls for a shooting around 11:30 p.m.
Police found the victim, identified as 26-year-old Kenneth Easley, on the ground outside. He’d been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Major Case Squad was contacted and after five days of investigation, authorities eventually arrested three people: 17-year-old Javier Anthony of Belleville, 20-year-old Michael Jackson III of Shiloh, and 21-year-old Rasheen Brazier of Belleville.
The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged each of them with one count of felony murder. Despite being a minor, Anthony is being charged as an adult. Bond was set at $1 million apiece for all three suspects.
Investigators believe the suspects knew Easley and that he was the target of a robbery.
