A Chase Bank branch was robbed Thursday afternoon in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
About 3:30 p.m., the suspect walked into the bank at 5687 S. Archer Ave. and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. He then ran out of the branch with an undisclosed amount of money.
He implied he had a weapon, but did not show one, police said. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 5-foot-6 with a medium build, the FBI said. He was wearing aviator sunglasses, a ==dark-colored hat, dark jeans and zip-up black jacket.
