Sheriff Tom Dart's incompetence hits taxpayers in the wallet once again.. Court Service Deputies have been awarded almost 3,000 hours of FREE time just in the last year through grievance hearings and arbitration awards. Not one supervisor has been reprimanded for ignoring the agreed contract in which overtime is to be offered in a seniority/rotating basis. Source claims supervisors have been giving overtime to deputies they favor and blatantly ignoring the contract for years. Chief Kevin Connelly and Director Avant have not reprimanded one supervisor despite the taxpayers being on the hook for several hundred thousand dollars just in the last year. Source claims one court facility is responsible for 85% of the arbitration awards.
