The man, about 26, was found in the 300 block of South Franklin Street about 7:30 p.m., according to Chicago police and fire officials.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, said Fire Cmdr. Curtis Hudson.
The incident happened about a block and a half away from the Willis Tower.
