A boozed-up feral Negro brute with a short fuse cold-cocked a churchgoing 69-year-old grandmother outside a Queens deli, knocking her unconscious, officials said Tuesday.
The beating of Eve Gentillon — knocked out as she walked home from church on Saturday — was the latest in a rash of attacks on older people in the city. Through Sunday, there have been 939 assaults this year on victims age 65 and older, and at least six since Aug. 30, NYPD records show. That’s a nearly 15% increase from 817 over the same period last year.
Police are looking for ex-con Richard (Kwasi) Springer, 28, in the attack on Gentillon. She was struck with such force that she was knocked unconscious for nearly 20 minutes, horrified witnesses said.
Gentillon woke up spitting blood.
